Flexible ILM Leadership & Coaching Courses

Flexibility in learning is becoming increasingly important in employee development. We are experiencing a significant increase in clients needing a more flexible approach to the delivery of our ILM programmes.

Releasing staff to attend off-site public courses can cause problems for organisations, despite the obvious benefits of individuals from different backgrounds and industries sharing their experiences as they learn together. It is not always convenient for managers to block out days in their diary to attend sessions off-site, on dates that tend to be inflexible.

We recognise this and in addition to our public courses we are able to offer a range of flexible options to make it easier for organisations and individuals to access our ILM Leadership, Management and Coaching programme.

Rosemary Exton is a Director of UK WON and has worked with the organisation since 2002. She is also a Founding Director of Workplace Innovation Limited.

Building on thirty four years’ experience as a clinician, manager and trade unionist in the NHS, and UKWON’s portfolio of UK and European projects Rosemary has provided programme management, leadership and development training and support to several organisations. She was an elected Director of the Royal College of Midwives from 2007 to 2013.

Rosemary gained an MA in Management and Leadership from the Institute of Health Sciences & Public Health Research at the University of Leeds in 2008. She has published a number of articles on workplace innovation and entrepreneurial behaviour and is a regular speaker at international conferences.

She is an acknowledged expert in workplace partnership and employee engagement in the European healthcare sector. Rosemary has a particularly strong interest in issues relating to quality, productivity, the governance and delivery of effective healthcare, partnership working and improving the working lives of staff.

Rosemary has wide experience of driving change and working effectively across organisational boundaries including the facilitation of dialogue workshops, training for the facilitators of employee forums, action learning, and supporting those leading innovation. She is also experienced in the use of Interactive Theatre as a resource for employee engagement and workplace innovation.

Rosemary continues her passion for midwifery alongside her work with UK WON. She practices clinically, has a leadership and mentoring role and is a trade union steward for the Royal College of Midwives. She is the midwife representative on the UK Stem Cell Supply Committee and midwife advisor to the UK Stem Cell Oversight Committee on the harvesting of stem cells from cord blood.
